Since the blog is going to be VERY story oriented soon, I think it’s time I clarify about asks, and what you can do to help get your ask used in an update. Also, I’ve been getting a lot of questions recently, and thought this might be a good time to clear up some things.
Things That Help Me Use Your Ask:
- asking about the current story! Like, asking Chryssy what she’s doing, or asking Tarrlok what might happen next. Basically, bugging the characters in relation to what’s going on REALLY helps.
- asking open ended questions! Examples: “Hey, what’s that over there?” “How are you feeling?” “Wow, that looks fun!”
Things That Don’t Help Me Use Your Ask:
- “Hi! I’m so-and-so! This is a nice place you’ve got!"
- "OMG YOU’RE SO CUTE!!!”
- “*hugs*”
- While these asks are nice, they don’t really help in terms of me being able to use them to either explore Chryssy and what she does, or further the story. Things like that inevitable get deleted so I can keep track of asks that I can use. Sorry!!
“So, when’s the next update?”
As the story becomes more complex, the updates will take longer. My goal is to try and update weekly. However, if an update has a lot of background work, I have to take it easy since my hands have recently been giving me a lot of trouble. I get tired easily now. Not sure why, just do! So, updates, especially long ones with lots of things to draw, can take a long time so I don’t hurt myself.
“Do I HAVE to donate/pledge to Patreon for there to be more updates?”
While it would be great if you did, no! Donating or pledging money on the new Patreon is not required for updates to happen. Granted, we still need the help over here, but not updating from lack of donations or pledges doesn’t seem very fair. (Although if something happens on my end because of lack of funds, there’s not much I can do about it. Because we’ll most likely be homeless in that case, haha… Ha… Hooboy.)
“What the hek is a Patreon?!”
This! Patreon is a site that enables you to pledge a certain amount of money to give to the artist every month, or whenever they release new content. You can set up monthly limits so you don’t go over your budget every month as well, and can also stop the payments whenever you want.
There are also rewards for becoming a patron! Go check them out, I think they’re really fun! I get to send you guys pencil sketches, script previews, and comic previews! I also post exclusive patron previews of things I’m working.
“Where’s your commission info? And your mod blog? Where can I find more of your art?”
My commission info can be found here, and this is my mod blog! And you can find more of my art either at my deviantart, or by looking in my art tag on my mod blog! All of these links are also conveniently located on the front page of FQC’s blog. Neat, right?
And that’s all for now folks! See you all on Saturday with the update!
