Filly Queen Chrysalis is now 2 years old!! Wow!!
Technically, it turned 2 on the 23rd, but the first comic wasn’t posted until April 30th! Thank you so much to everyone for helping the comic stay alive, and continuing to inspire me to draw and write! With almost 4k followers, it’s hard not to want to do my best for you all, and keep experimenting with how I present the story of Chrysalis growing up. Granted, I thought for sure the story would be done by now, but, eh, life happens. Maybe we’ll be done by next year!

More Chrysalis sketches!
I got lazy near the end (the bottom two) and gave up trying to erase the lines so she had proper cheese legs. I’d do more, but I’ve got to get up early tomorrow (I think??) since Neros and I celebrate Valentines Day the day before the actual day since it used to be our dating anniversary. We’ve decided to keep it up since it helps us beat the V-Day rush for everything. ;3

So, Queen Silverwing, Chrysalis’ mother, is going to be making an appearance in the comic pretty soon. People tend to ask what she looks like even though she’s already been introduced, and I get a lot of questions about her, so I figured it was a good idea to give her some more screentime. I’m pretty sure she’s not going to make an appearance in this week’s update, but she is going to be popping up again soon.
I thought it might be a good idea to give her another look since I drew her almost two years ago now. She’s a hek of a lot different looking; I basically gave her design a reboot. I tried to simplify her so she’ll be easier to draw over and over again like I will most likely be doing. Number one rule of comic making: don’t make your characters’ designs too complicated; you’ll save yourself a lot of pain in the long run.
